The Rivercrest Yacht Club was founded on the shores of the great Trinity River.
For over a hundred years, the Yacht Club has been a cultural hub of yachtsmanship, gentlemanly sports, and dope rhymes.
1902
A discerning group, the Yacht Club grew in membership gradually, having at its height only 27 members
(although it did boast a staff of 425).
1919
Originally constructed entirely from corn cobs, the famed Rivercrest Yacht Clubhouse burnt down, but was
rebuilt the following year with more modern materials.
1986
The Yacht Club gained national attention for its role in the U.S. Supreme Court case Barberic v. RYC,
in which the Yacht Club successfully defended its practice of excluding Sucka MCs and Wack Rappers from membership.
2007
The Yacht Club released its first eponymous album to wide acclaim.
